Michael Montez was Born in Portugal, but it was in Madeira Island that he developed most of his work as a deejay and producer. His taste for electronic music can be noticed in every performance, along with a great passion for techno & progressive genres. At the age of 18, he Started as resident deejay in a small club, after that he began is freelancer career, playing in allmost every night club in Madeira Island.
Since then Michael Montez lined up in several outdoor events. These were a great opportunity to stand out, as he performed side by side with some of the best and most respected artists in the world : Dj Jiggy, TrenteMoller, Danny Howells, Andy Moor, Steve Angello, Sebastien Leger, Steve Lawler, Hernan Cattaneo and John Digweed, amongst many others. With his own style, Michael Montez is known for following the latest trends in dance music. Besides Progressive in these days Michael includes a lot of Techno and Tech House in his Performances. Last months he placed all the attention in the studio and right now he is about to release is first EP on Mk837 Records. For now besides finishing several original tracks and remixes, Michael is looking to expand his work beyond, promoting his music throughout a new webpage where all the content is displayed in english. He has also moved from Madeira and is currently living in Barcelona.
